Yvonne de Camp
MSc Dance Science
With 30 years of experience in the dance community practising in various dance genres, with the main focus on ballet and ballroom, dance has become a way of life for me.
I have a MSc in Dance Science from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, experience in performance coaching and Counselling Certificates.
Currently, I am associated with Dance for Parkinson's (English National Ballet), and ballet for the visually impaired (Royal Ballet). I would describe the experience of being part of such beautiful programmes as "handing out happiness on a golden plate" - one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
I believe one can always improve oneself and therefore I am constantly updating my knowledge with courses and research in dance psychology and counselling.
Through self-awareness and exploration, I learnt how mental resilience and happiness can be reached in life and at work and how one can become the best version of oneself. This leads to empowerment and performance enhancement.
For me dance is life and life is a dance.
Dancing it together makes us stronger.
When we are happy, balanced and ourselves, we can achieve anything in life.
I would like to be the helping hand for dancers in times of need and emotional difficulties, bereavment and trauma as well as help you achieve your best performance, maintain mental resilience and assist with general self-improvement.
The coaching is based on dance psychology and scientific evidence from research.
